Better known as the Flying Squad, Keppel FELS' team of highly skilled professionals can be activated and deployed anywhere in the world.
As part of our near market, near customer strategy, the Offshore Repair Specialist team was set up to allow us considerable flexibility to effectively allocate available resources and respond quickly to customers’ needs.
Well-trained and equipped to work in harsh offshore environments, upon arrival on the rig onsite at sea, the team will diagnose the nature and extent of the damage. The required materials, equipment and repair services are then organised within the shortest time possible, so that operations can be resumed quickly.
Besides technical expertise, Keppel FELS' Flying Squad has good working knowledge of international sovereignty laws governing the seas - a vital requirement to undertake such jobs.
Every member in the Flying Squad has gone through stringent medical examinations and undergone the Combined Sea Survival, First Aid, Fire Fighting and Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) as well as the OPITO Approved Travel Safely By Boat Course.
Over the years, the Flying Squad has earned the trust and confidence of rig owners worldwide including Diamond Offshore, ENSCO, GlobalSantaFe and Transocean.
